| Once I had a dream that I would be a great musician, a great photographer and making a living as a cameraman in great movies. I still love my Nikon SG-20 that I bought 19 years ago, though other cameras have come and gone, and I still have a passion for music, movies and photography... but life took me in other directions. I've got a masters degree in Political Science, and I work at the University. It pays the rent, and I do have a passion for that too. But the photography, music and movies sort of never took off the way I imagined 15-20 years ago. Now I realise that it's not only OK, it might even be a good thing: I'm a pretty good drummer, and my band is quite good too (to be honest), I'm still a decent cameraman (although I don't get to do it that often anymore), and I'm proud to be an amateur photographer: I still do it because I love it! ... and I do not like to put titles on my work, neither do I like to put it in to categories, so please ignore which categories I choose and which names I give my photos - it's just seems pretentious and unnecessary to me. |
